Code of Conduct

Our events are for everyone. Here is what we expect from all participants.

Our pledge

GDG Sharjah is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.

Expected behavior

  • Be respectful, friendly and patient
  • Be welcoming to people of all backgrounds and experience levels
  • Be considerate in what you say and share, online and in person

Unacceptable behavior

Harassment, offensive comments, sexual language or imagery, deliberate intimidation, stalking, unwelcome photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, and unwelcome physical contact are not tolerated in any form.

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, contact an organizer at the event or use the contact form on this website. Reports are handled confidentially.

Consequences

Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. Organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including removal from the event and future events.

This policy follows the Google Developer Groups Code of Conduct.
